Middletown Grange #684 is the local branch of the Pennsylvania State Grange
which was first organized in Reading in 1873. This Community grange has
received state and national recognition for its commitment to community
service. For example, it received First Place in the nation
in 2000, and First Place honors in the state in 2000 and
2001. The Middletown Grange’s generous support by donating its beautiful
fairgrounds for the Village Renaissance Faire is yet another example of
their community leadership by example.
Over the past one hundred plus years Grangers have been involved in the
community in many positive ways. Today's Grange can be described as Families
in Action.
The Grange builds COMMUNITY by working together in a team
spirit.
The Grange builds FAMILY by offering a family-oriented
environment that includes all members of today’s families
The Grange builds PEOPLE by recognizing individual abilities
and encouraging talent development.
Today there are 430 local Granges with more than 30,000 members in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
