Village Renaissance Players |
The Village Renaissance Faire's very own performance troupe! |
The Village Renaissance Players is an improv renaissance acting troupe that interacts with faire goers to bring them into the story, suspend disbelief, and embrace the experience! 2011 Information For 2011, the Village Renaissance Players will be performing an improv version of Cyrano de Bergerac, the tale of a French nobleman, who has a way with a sword as well as with words. He, however, has been cursed, or blessed, with an abundantly large nose, and because of this, doubts that true love will ever find him. He falls hopelessly in love with the beautiful Roxanne, but dismisses that she could ever feel the same way for him. Instead, he urges and aids the handsome Christian into courting Roxanne, a relationship which tortures his very soul. Come join the cast of the Village Renaissance Players as we develop this tale of romance and woe. Audition information is below. Improv Workshops In the meantime, attend any one of our improv workshops on Sundays, February 13, March 13, April 17, and May 15 from 7 to 9 p.m., in the community room at the Village Library.
